How can Austria position itself as Europe’s hydrogen hub, and how can hydrogen imports be enabled? And also: What measures are needed for the decarbonization of energy-intensive industry? These questions and more will be addressed by high-ranking representatives of the HIAA Hydrogen Import Alliance Austria during the H2 Convention.

What challenges and opportunities does the ramp-up of hydrogen imports bring for Austria?
Hydrogen imports are necessary to decarbonize Austrian industry. However, building hydrogen import infrastructure and scaling up the hydrogen economy involve numerous challenges. At the same time, a successful ramp-up also offers many opportunities for Austria. How can a joint effort along the entire value chain help unlock these opportunities? How can we address and overcome the challenges?

The Development of Import Corridors – An Assessment by HIAA
What is the current status of the import corridors to Central Europe? How can it be ensured that the import corridors run through Austria in order to meet the needs of the domestic economy? What additional advantages would this bring for Austria? HIAA provides an up-to-date assessment of the import corridors and invites discussion on current developments. At the same time, the benefits of positioning Austria as a hydrogen hub will be highlighted.
